اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ لَذَّةَ النَّظَرِ إِلَى وَجْهِكَ وَالشَّوْقَ إِلَى لِقَائِكَ
“O Allāh, I ask You for the delight of gazing at Your Face and the eagerness of meeting You.”

It was my school’s magazine. It was the first time that I was doing a project going for print on such a great scale-50 pages and 1000 copies! Alhamdulillah my first print project was very successful! I got appreciation and good feedback from everyone. It took long sleepless nights and hours and hours of typing, inserting, cropping, placing, editing and composing; going through many pictures and articles, deciding what to put where, which font, what size, and so much more! And then adjusting the content in the given pages. The cover though looks the most complicated but was the easiest for me. And the hardest was contents page due to lack of time, but I managed it pretty ok in the end. But in the end it was so satisfying to hold a hard copy of my design =)
InshaAllah I will post the full magazine too soon.

I was assigned the Religion and Urdu Section for the September issue. I managed to submit my entries just on time! I will update with the link when the magazine is published.
The instructions are to keep the backgrounds light, and fonts simple and readable. No stylish fonts.

“The color (religion) of Allah . And who is better than Allah in religion! And we are worshipers of Him.”
{Surah Baqarah: 138}
I love this verse! And I love this article based on this verse: Dyeing Ourselves in the Color of Allah
May Allah dye us in the color of His religion, Aameen!
Event Poster done for sister Bela Khan, founder of Muslim Women Empowerment. for an offline Ramadan event conducted in the KSA.
Typography takes a lot of time and effort, but I love the end results. The outcome is always worth it! Another attempt at typography, this is the first time I’ve done it in shapes. I did this poster on a very short notice for a fellow coworker at Ar-Rajaa who held a special Ramadan webinar. I feel I could have made it better but we were so short on time so I couldn’t give it the extra effort.
If you wish to hear the recording of the event, you can access it here: http://bit.ly/RamadanRelish

Finally the Blessed Month is here! As I read today somewhere that Muslims are the only folks on planet who get excited for a month of no food and drink, I feel blessed to be one such Muslim Alhamdulillah! Here’s wishing Ramadan Kareem to all my brothers and sister! =)
I’ve been busy doing a lot of things, but did not have the time to share things on my blog, but now inshaAllah I will be sharing some new and old things with you, my designs, my experiments, my life, and delicious healthy recipes to keep you filled during Ramadan! So stay tuned (Or just keep waiting, since this is not a radio show to tune into =D )!
